INKspired Blog Hop Sketch 1

Hi all, you have arrived at my INKspired blog hop post! I am taking part in a blog hop which is going to be a lot of fun. We have great fortnightly sketches coming up so I look forward to designing cards for you to enjoy as well as for you all to have a look at what all the other INKspired Artists are up too!

Welcome to my blog if you have just come from a fellow INKspired artist Barbara Williams      ( I hope you enjoyed her card ) or maybe you are just checking our my creations and starting the blog hop from here. Hope you enjoy my creation in this weeks sketch and  enjoy checking out what my friends have created as well by following the links.
Here is this weeks sketch:

As the new Holiday Catalogue is now available to us I couldnt help myself but get into the Christmas spirit as you may be able to tell with todays creation and you will see with upcoming posts on how excited I am about creating Christmas cards. Well here is my version using this sketch as inspiration.
As you can see I didn't use the tradtional Christmas colours but I love how these colours look together.
The colours combo that I have used is Soft Sky, Sahara Sand and Real Red. I have used the fantastic 2-step stamp set Wondrous Wreath which is found on page 9 of the holiday catty and what is great about this stamp set is that you can buy matching framelits. The advantage of having matching framelits means that you can layer your cards with ease which gives your card a wow factor.Well I hope you enjoyed my take on this week's sketch and now you need to check out the next INKspired artist Janelle Taylor and see what she has created from this sketch.

Loving the Holiday Catalogue

I was so so excited when I received the Holiday catalogue last month. I flipped through the pages and thought 'I want it all'. Well I went a little crazy and purchased quite a bit of what is available. There are so many fun things in there and I love anything Christmas. I cant wait to show you some of the fantastic creations that you will see featured in the catalogue as well as some of my own designs. So follow me to see lots of upcoming examples.
Need one of these fantastic catalogues then Contact me to request one.

Check out this card that I have created using non traditional christmas colours with the Bright and Beautiful stampset. I am loving the cool blue green colours for Christmas. I made this card into a shaker card because I wanted to incorporate the cute and shiny Frosted Sequins. I also loved creating the negative space using the matching star framelits. How beautiful is this star stamp?!
I really like adding bling to Christmas cards as well and you couldn't get more blingy than this. You should see it in the sun.
Thanks for dropping by,

Cherie

Missing in Action

Well it has definitely been a long time since I have blogged. And failed miserably at keeping my New Year's Resolution of making sure that I keep my blog up to date. Well this is take 2 of my new year's resolution. Never to late to start, huh?
I have been in fact very busy crafting and have had many fun classes over the past 8 months. My stamp clubs are going great and I am loving all the cards and texhniques that we have looked at. The most exciting part of a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator has arrived in the pass two months with the launch of the new annual catalogue and the new Holiday Catalogue ( See next post for more information ). Our new Stampin' Up catalogue went live 1 July, 2014 and will be with us until the 30th June 2015. There are some of our favourites from last year as well as many new products to try. One product to make note of are the Photopolymer Stamps that are clear and very easy to use. We also saw the launch of the 2014-2016 in-colours which are fantastic. I have definitely found my new favourite colour-Blackberry Bliss. Keep following to see some of my creations and samples of these wonderful colours.Take a look of the new colours below. They are so bold and rich in colour and I love them!
If you haven't got a hold of the annual catalogue as yet feel free to Contact me and order one today!
