Inkspired Blog Hop # 31 - Sleigh Framelits

Hello again. Welcome to another INKspired blog hop post! The last one for the year. We are breaking for the Christmas break and will be back on January 10th 2016. My goodness this year has flown.
This week you would have hopped to my post from the lovely Teneale Williams. I am sure as usual she impressed this week. It is so close to Christmas now. I love this time of year. Although I am a little behind on the Christmas shopping and I am yet to put up our tree but hopefully that will happen soon.
Here is this week's sketch:

I made a this sketch into a Xmas creation this week and I had a lot of fun doing it. I hope you like the result as much as I do.

Here is what I came up with:

I really liked being able to create a hanging ornament look with the sleigh ride edgelits. I also love pairing Night of Navy blue with the contrast of the Whisper White. These edgelits were so elegant and so gorgeous. I am really sad to see them retire. I also used a set from last year's holiday catalogue which carried over into this years catalogue -Wonderous Wreath for the bow and ribbon stamp and matching dies. I loved the effect I was able to create.

I used the lovely sentiment that you can find from the Flurry of Wishes stampset. ( it comes with a matching punch ). It is such a great set and I love the sentiment " Sending you a flurry of warm Christmas wishes". This wonderful stampset is actually sticking around in the next occasions catalogue I am so happy to announce!!

Glad you could join us this week. Next up is the talented Renee Lynch.
Looking forward to seeing what she has in store for you.

Thanks for dropping by,

Wishing everyone Merry Christmas and wonderful times with their family and friends over the festive season.

Inkspired Blog Hop #30-Boys Will Be Boys

Boys will be Boys!!

Welcome back to our Inkspired Blog Hop. Number #30 to be precise. I hope you enjoyed visiting the very talented Teneale. I always love seeing what she has crafted each fortnight.

Although the Xmas season is almost upon us and most of my current craft projects are Christmas-y, I decided that this week I would share with you a card that I made for my gorgeous little nephew who is getting so big. 7 to be exact. So I used this week's sketch for my favourite little man and created a boy's card for his 7th birthday.
Here is this week's sketch:

I got out one of my very under used stampset Boys will be Boys and had a little play with it. It really is a fun set. There are so many things that can be done with it. In the stampset there are cute images of building blocks, a little pile of lego blocks, a parachuting soldier and the cutest robot you have ever seen. It was difficult to decide on which image I was going to use but ended up choosing the gorgeous robot.
Here is what I came up with:

Now I don't normally use grass as a backdrop but when you remember last minute that you haven't taken photos for your blog ( when you have just arrived outside the birthday party) it tends to be the best thing that on hand.

I kept the card simple and decided not to introduce many colours.  I really liked pairing Basic Black with Smoky Slate. I really enjoyed using this set and look forward having another play with it soon.

Well hope you enjoyed seeing my creation this week. Next up is the lovely Lisa Eaton

INKspired Bloghop #29-Flurry of Wishes

Whoo Hoo!Inkspired Bloghop here again!

Today is the 29th bloghop that the INKspired artists have taken part in to show off some of their creations. If you have hopped onto my blog from Teneale Williams, a big welcome to you to my blog and hope you enjoyed what Teneale created this week.

Well it is that time of the year that Xmas is quickly approaching. I love Christmas! It means Summer, holidays, fun with family and friends, giving gifts, lots of eating and drinking and I love the ambience in the air. Everyone is happy! I also love all the craft that gets created at this time and have been having a hoot in my card classes with the Christmas theme. So it was only natural to take this week's sketch and create something Christmas-y.

Here is this week's sketch:

I have taken my inspiration directly out of the Stampin' UP! Holiday catalogue. There are such great ideas and products in this catty, pg 24. I loved the embossed resist background so I had a go at recreating it myself.
Here is my version of this week's sketch:

I flipped the design on it side and had lots of fun with the Flurry of Wishes Stampset
 and its matching punch.
I actually don't even own this set. I borrowed it from a beautiful friend, Elizabeth and now I have fallen in love with it. I might either have to not return it to Elisabeth ( Just jokes, Elizabeth ) or buy the set myself.
I am obsessed with it now!!
I used the 'embossed resist' technique on a little strip to pop into the inside of the card to finish it off.

Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope you enjoyed my card.

Click on the next blog button below and check out the lovely Lisa Eaton's card. I am sure she will not disappoint!!!

INKspired Blog Hop #27

Well hellllllllooooooo everyone!!! It has been a long time since I blogged. I thought I better jump back on and join this week's INKspired Blog Hop. I always love seeing everyones creations. Well you may have started at my post or maybe you have hopped here from the unbelievably talented Lissa Carter's blog which I am sure you loved but either way hello and welcome!!!

Here is this week's sketch:
I decided to play around with this sketch this week. I have changed it up a little. Instead of using the star as a shape on the card I changed it to a dinosaur. I have been loving this stamp set so much.My daughter has been to so many little parties recently and the No Bones About It set has become really handy.  Here is my creation for this week.

I used quite a lot of layers on this card which is not my normal style but I like the effect that it has given. This set is so much fun. Don't you agree?!
I love two-step stamping. I have used only the bones for the background paper on the card which I really like. The colours I have used here are Island Indigo, Smokey Slate and Crumbcake.
I have made the inside of this card quite simple but I wanted to share because of the cute little sentiment that is also part of the No Bones About It stampset.

Cute, hey?!

Here is another photo of the card.

Well I hope you have enjoyed my card this week. I am glad that I finally managed to join this blog hop again. Look forward to seeing you all again soon at my next blog.

Up next is the very creative Lisa Eaton. I am sure see will impress you with her beuatiful card this week. Make sure you go right around the blog hop to see all of the INKspired creations this week.

Thanks for dropping by,

Another ESAD Blog Hop

Here we are again at another ESAD blog hop that I am participating in. I love blog hops because they are so fun to be a part of them and seeing everyone else's creations. You may have started with me or you may have come from the lovely Barbara Williams. If you haven't seen everyone's projects on this blog hop, remember to click on the next blog button at the end of each post to hop to the next person. If you get lost there is a list of participants at the end of each blogpost. Hope you enjoy!
  This time the ESAD blog hop is about showcasing a product from the new catalogue. Now the product I have chosen today is one that I have used a bit lately and it is the stampset that I received at the South Pacific Conference- I Think You're Great stampset.  Here is my card;

My example is also showcasing one of the new 2015-2017 in-colours. The new colours I have used on this card is Delightful Dijon and I have paired it with Lost Lagoon from the 2014-2016 incolours. I really liked how these colours go together.  This is quite a different card for me as I wouldn't have chosen these colours and I wanted to try the kiss off technique which you will see behind the I think you're great wording on the middle circle.
Well it is just a quick one from me today. Thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoyed checking out my creation. Please make sure you click on the next blog button and you will be taken to Chloe Evans.

See you next time,

Love Cherie

INKpired Blog Hop #19

Hello again,

It is time for another wonderful INKspired Blog Hop. I actually didn't play in the last one but couldn't wait to participate in this one. I have been awfully busy with classes and playing with all the wonderful new product that I have bought since the new catalogue launched at the beginnning of this month. You may have hopped here from the lovely and talented Barbara Williams ( wasn't her card great?!) or you may be starting with my blog, either way make sure you hop around everyone's blogs and see what they have been up to. Hope you enjoy our creations this week.

Here is today's sketch;

As you can see it is quite a simple sketch and open for alot of interpretation.SoI decided to flip my card and use a square instead of a circle. And this is what I came up with.

Firstly I must apologise for the bad photo. I didnt realise that there had been a shadow from the window frame cast on my card. Right through the centre. Anyway how cute is this set. As soon as I had one of the brand new Stampin' Up! catalogues in my hand this stampset was one that jumped out at me and said 'Please buy me?" ( One of many actually! ).
The No Bones About It photopolymer stampset uses the two-step stamping technique which makes it a fun stalmpset to use. I made it with a beautiful colour combination of Watermelon Wonder, Bermuda Bay and Islandj Indigo. A gorgeous little friend of Izzy will be the recipient of this card at her 4th Birthday party today!!!Great colours for a little girl's card I think.
Well just a quick one from me today. Thanks for dropping by and checking out my card. Up next is the wonderfully talented Kabrina Piirlaid. Can't wait to see what beautiful work she has come up with this week.

Sneak Peek 2015 ESAD Blog Hop

This week I have decided to take part in another blog hop with ESAD. I have really enjoyed being part of these hops as it is great to see all the other projects that are created by a bunch of like minded Stampin' UP! demonstrators using great Stampin' UP! products. Well what is install for you this time? A sneak peek of new product that features in the upcoming catalogue that is released soon on 2nd June. Exciting huh? If you have travelled to me from Libby Dyson, welcome and I am sure you enjoyed seeing what she created this week. Make sure that you keep hopping through the blog hop to ensure that you get to see everyone's creations.

This week I am showcasing the wonderful stampset I Think You're Great.
I was lucky enough to receive this set at the 2015 Sounth Pacific Convention in the Gold Coast at the end of April. We got to play around with it a bit at convention and it is a really fun and versatile stampset. Here is my creation this week:-

I loved the way that the Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo worked so well together. And I love that patterned stamp. I think it can be used in many different ways. Maybe as a bush or splashes or just like I have used it here as a pattern.
It has been really great being able to play with new product. I can't wait to show you more projects using other exciting things from the 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue.
Would you like to see more projects using this stampset? Well I will show one of the make and takes that all the attendees of the convention did as a make and take. I really had fun making this project as it uses a little more of new product and one of the new In-colours.-Mint Macaron.

Well thank you for dropping by and hope you enjoyed seeing a couple of samples of the I Think You're Great stampset. Next up is Narelle Fasulo hope you have fun checking her creation out! Click on the next blog button to head on over.
